Imperial International School’s Year 7 to Year 10 students stepped onto a national platform on 11 July 2026 as they participated in the Malaysia Top 10 Outstanding Young Artists Competition.
Organised by The One Academy and held at Yuk Choy High School in Ipoh, the competition brought together talented young artists from schools across Malaysia. It allowed our students to showcase their creativity, test their skills and experience the excitement of a wider artistic community.
Competing alongside other young artists encouraged them to move beyond familiar ideas and explore new creative approaches. By observing the different styles, techniques and interpretations presented by fellow participants, they gained fresh perspectives on how art can communicate stories, emotions and ideas.
The experience also challenged students to trust their abilities, express their individuality and respond positively in a competitive environment. Beyond producing their final artworks, they developed greater confidence, resilience and appreciation for the dedication required to grow as artists.
We congratulate all our participants for representing Imperial with enthusiasm, passion and creativity. Their willingness to embrace the challenge made the competition a valuable step in their artistic development and an experience that will continue to inspire their future work.
