Mr. Shawn Shim holds a Master of Education from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, a Bachelor of Education (TESOL) from Macquarie University, Australia, and a Diploma in Teaching and Training from Cambridge, United Kingdom. With over 16 years of experience in the education sector, he is a respected leader in school development, education consulting, and teacher training.
Mr. Shawn has held Principal and senior leadership roles in top Cambridge schools across Indonesia, Singapore, and most recently, Kuala Lumpur. He brings with him extensive expertise in both the Cambridge and IB academic programmes. In addition to his international school leadership, he has contributed to national education transformation projects in Malaysia, including roles in the ‘Sekolah Amanah’ initiative and as an English coach for B40 national schools. Mr. Shawn is passionate about cultivating high-impact learning environments and leading schools toward continuous improvement and academic excellence.
Mr Tristan has been involved in international education since 2017, with over nine years of experience in both teaching and school leadership. He currently serves as Deputy Principal and Academic Coordinator, where he plays a key role in shaping a school culture grounded in academic excellence, character development, and meaningful learning.
With a strong passion for English education and curriculum design, Mr Tristan is committed to empowering students to think critically, communicate effectively, and develop into confident, compassionate individuals. Norfazilatun is a secondary educator with 29 years of teaching experience, currently specialising in Malay Language and Global Perspectives. She also serves as Head of the Examination Department, where she is responsible for the coordination and management of both internal and external assessments.
She believes that language learning is a gateway to knowledge and adopts a student-centred approach that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world application. Outside the classroom, Norfazilatun leads an NGO focused on the welfare and protection of stray animals, and actively encourages student involvement in community service. Sarah Banu brings over 21 years of experience as an Early Years practitioner in an international school setting. She is deeply passionate about early childhood education and finds great fulfilment in supporting the growth and development of young learners during their formative years.
She believes that educators are lifelong learners and is committed to continuously refining her practice through creative lesson planning and innovative teaching methods. Bavani Nandakumal is Head of the Science and Mathematics Department and an experienced educator with 15 years of teaching across both primary and secondary levels. She has taught a range of subjects including Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Malay Language, PSHE, and Business Studies. Her specialisation in Mathematics has helped students develop strong subject confidence through engaging and supportive instruction.
She adopts a student-centred approach that promotes critical thinking, real-life problem-solving, and holistic development—academically, socially, and emotionally. Mr. Mogantherenbrings over 16 years of experience in the education sector, primarily across both Primary and Secondary levels. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles, including Head of School Operations, Senior Assistant, Senior Leader for Student Affairs, Head of Department, Secondary Coordinator, CCA Coordinator, and Level Leader.
He has extensive experience teaching Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Business Studies, and Accounting. Mr. Mogantherenis deeply passionate about teaching and is committed to helping students acquire new knowledge and skills. In his classroom, he integrates 21st-century teaching approaches and technology through activity-based learning to develop students’ character, creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
