Imperial International School Ipoh, in collaboration with JCI Kinta and Little Tauke Ipoh Malaysia, recently organized the Bazaar Junior Perak Business Training Workshop (Session 2 & 3), creating a positive impact on 60 families. This engaging program was designed to foster personal growth and character development among children aged 6 to 12 years, encouraging them to be creative, work in teams, and face challenges with perseverance.
The workshop focused on imparting crucial financial literacy skills to the young participants. They were introduced to the concept of money and its value, learning about the Money Jar System and the importance of financial responsibility. The children gained valuable insights into the principles of saving, spending, and giving, equipping them with essential tools for managing their finances. By instilling these lessons at an early age, the workshop aimed to promote a healthy understanding of money and encourage responsible financial habits.
One of the highlights of the workshop was a mock Flea Market, where the children had the opportunity to set up and operate their own stalls. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply their newly acquired knowledge in a practical setting. They learned about various aspects of running a business, such as managing inventory, setting prices, interacting with customers, and the significance of effective marketing. Through this engaging activity, the children developed a sense of responsibility and independence, while also cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset.
As the Bazaar Junior Perak Business Training Workshop progresses, the excitement builds for the upcoming real Junior Bazaar, scheduled to take place at Meow Garden, Tambun on June 17, 2023. This event will provide the children with a platform to apply their newfound knowledge and skills in a live marketplace environment. It promises to be a valuable experience that will further enhance their understanding of business operations and nurture their entrepreneurial spirit.
